The GALLERY DEPT. x ASICS GEL-K1011 Hand-Painted Black/White brings raw creativity to the forefront, blending ASICS' trail-inspired design with the hand-applied artistry that defines Gallery Dept.'s style. This limited-edition release debuted at Art Basel Miami 2024 and stands out as a wearable piece of contemporary art.
Each pair is individually hand-painted by artisans, featuring rugged white brushstrokes that extend across the black base, midsole, tongue, and heel. The expressive, deconstructed aesthetic is completed with a stenciled “DEPT.” print on the toe box and the brand’s signature yellow pull tab on the heel. Underneath the art lies serious performance: the sneaker incorporates the midsole tooling from the GEL-CUMULUS 17, including GEL™ cushioning and dual-layer FLYTEFOAM™ for comfort and support.
